Nintendo continues to build up the Switch Online library game by game, or in this case, tetrimino by tetrimino. The original Tetris for NES will arrive on the subscription service December 12.
On X, the official Nintendo of America account announced Tetris for NES is on the way later this month for Switch Online members. This specific version of the classic puzzle game is also part of the collection in Tetris Forever, which also includes Tetris Battle Gaiden and Super Bombliss. The compilation basically seems like a dream for Tetris fans.

There has been a steady stream of game additions to Switch Online over the past couple of months. For instance, last week saw three Sega Genesis titles arrive on Switch Online + Expansion Pack, including ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron. Interestingly, that specific game is actually one of many that Sega is delisting from Steam this month.
Last month, Donkey Kong Land for Game Boy dropped on Switch Online. The platforming title from Rare attempts to bring the side-scrolling gameplay of Donkey Kong Country on SNES to the less-powerful handheld system. Another Rare title also came to the subscription service in October with Banjo-Tooie.
Switch Online is the basic membership that costs $20 a year for individuals and includes access to NES, SNES, and Game Boy titles. Meanwhile, the premium Expansion Pack tier goes up to $50 annually for individuals to access Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64 catalogs, among other bonuses. Don’t forget that subscribing to either will allow you to play Tetris 99, too.
