Rare has finally broken the pirate’s curse in Sea of Thieves that kept players from bending their knees. That’s right–buccaneers can finally crouch in the multiplayer action-adventure after exactly six years, six months, and 27 days.

But who’s counting? Well, Rare actually is, as the Sea of Thieves studio shared the fun fact on X. A short clip also shows off the flexibility of a pirate in the game, with some silly fanfare to celebrate to boot. It’s all part of a Season-14 push for “sneaky strategies,” per the developer.

Season 14 for Sea of Thieves is officially called Making Mischief. On top of crouching, Rare highlights the free update’s additions of disguises, a grapple gun, and a blowpipe with darts in a YouTube video. The newest season went live yesterday, October 17.

Earlier this year, Sea of Thieves became one of four Xbox games to come out on rival platforms, as the multiplayer-centric title launched on PS5. This expansion to Sony’s system led to the title getting added to GameSpot’s 25 best cross-platform games to play with friends. Xbox and PlayStation players can sail the high seas together.

In addition, Sea of Thieves has reportedly done phenomenally on PS5, supposedly selling over 1 million copies. The title also just appeared on the top 20 best-selling games list for August in the US, appearing in the No. 16 spot.
