With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 right around the corner, Activision has revealed preloading and launch times for the FPS. All platforms can start preloading the game Monday, October 21, while launch times will vary a bit between systems.

For instance, the Call of Duty blog notes that Black Ops 6 on the PC Microsoft Store will “roll out regionally on October 24 between 4 AM PT and 11 PM PT.” Meanwhile, on Steam and Battle.net, the official launch time for the FPS is 9 PM PT October 24, which would be midnight ET (technically October 25). PlayStation and Xbox players fall into the same bucket as the Microsoft Store, with regional timing between 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET and 11 PM PT / 2 AM ET.

No preloading file sizes were officially shared by Activision. However, per CharlieIntel on X, Black Ops 6’s campaign size on PS5 will be notably bigger than what’s required on PS4. The first campaign pack for PS5 will be roughly 16.4GB, with the second pack rounding up to 20GB. Meanwhile, the same two packs for PS4 will equate to 1.5GB and 15.9GB, respectively. As for the multiplayer download, that info isn’t available yet for PS5, while PS4 apparently shows a download of 12.1GB. Neither systems displayed any preload data for Zombies, by the way.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches October 25, and it will be one of the biggest games to ever hit Xbox Game Pass as a day-one release. The FPS will be available on the subscription service for PC, console, and cloud players as part of the premium Ultimate plan and PC Game Pass.

For those interested in the campaign, GameSpot has an explainer of the Black Ops story so far to get up to speed. Being the sixth entry in the subseries, things can get a bit convoluted for players. Additionally, it’s important to know that an internet connection will be required for playing the campaign in Black Ops 6.

Looking past launch, developer Treyarch has shared that the iconic multiplayer map Nuketown will come out November 1 for Black Ops 6. On top of this, the studio and Activision are committed to keep cracking down on hate speech with the game.
