According to multiple sources, Call of Duty: Warzone could have had a crossover bundle with Halo. Social media user The Ghost Of Hope, who has accurately revealed unannounced Call of Duty information many times in the past, discussed this recently on X.

“Kinda crazy how a Halo x COD Master Chief collab was actually scrapped for MWIII for completely unknown reasons,” the person said. CharlieIntel, one of the most popular and respected Call of Duty information sources, backed up the report, saying it heard the same thing.

The Ghost of Hope shared an image, too, but it’s unclear if this is only a mock-up. In any event, it’s likely any Halo x COD crossover bundle would have featured popular Halo stuff like Master Chief himself, along with popular weapons like the Energy Sword and Halo’s iconic assault rifle.

Some are theorizing that the DLC bundle was canceled for Modern Warfare III so it could come to Black Ops 6 instead, but there is no evidence of this as of yet beyond wishful thinking. Black Ops 6 launches on October 25 and does not support skins from Modern Warfare III.

Call of Duty and Halo are owned by the same parent company, Microsoft. Before this, Microsoft’s Fallout franchise crossed over into Call of Duty. Outside of this, Master Chief came to Fortnite years ago.

In other Halo news, the team working on the franchise is now known as Halo Studios. Multiple new games are in the works and they will be made using Unreal Engine 5. For more, check out everything we know about the future of the Halo series.
