PC specs for the upcoming Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 have been revealed, so PC gamers can check how their rig is going to hold up ahead of the game’s release next February. As expected from a strategy title, the minimum specs are less demanding than your average AAA game, but running the game on ultra settings will require a surprisingly powerful PC.

The game’s minimum standards ask for a Nvidia GTX 1050 GPU or better, Intel Core i3-10100 CPU or better, 8GB of RAM, and a 20GB SSD, meaning most PCs should be able to handle Civilization 7 on low graphics settings. Recommended settings, which will play the game on a medium graphics preset, requires a Nvidia RTX 2060 or better, Intel Core i5-10400 or better, 16GB RAM, and a 20GB SSD.

The game’s requirements really jump up when it comes to playing on ultra settings, especially for a turn-based strategy game, though it’s still not as demanding as other AAA games. The ultra standards ask for a Nvidia RTX 4070 or better, Intel Core i7-14700f or better, 32GB RAM, and a 20GB SSD.

Civilization 7 will also be released on Mac and Linux, however recommended specs for those platforms still have yet to be shared. While most PC gamers shouldn’t have any issues meeting at least the minimum recommended specs, gamers still have a few months to make sure their rigs are up to scratch.

Civilization fans have waited a long time for the next game in the series, and it’s finally coming to PC and consoles next February. The game has four editions to choose from, some of which will include early access starting February 6. The global release date for standard editions is February 11.
