Overwatch 2 is getting yet another anime crossover, this time with superhero shonen My Hero Academia.
The anime and manga, which revolves around high-school superheroes and villains battling for the future of a world where most people are born with some sort of special superpower (aka Quirk), is a good fit for Overwatch, which is itself a superhero-esque team of heroes and villains. My Hero Academia’s manga ended earlier this year with chapter 430, though the anime is still ongoing.
There will be five My Hero Academia skins available for purchase as part of the limited-time event, with three hero and two villain skins to choose from. The skins will be available from October 17-30. They are:
Tracer as series protagonist DekuJuno as the anti-gravity wielding UravityReinhardt as series icon All MightKiriko as the Deku obsessed villain Himiko TogaReaper as League of Villains leader Tomura Shigaraki
Though players will have to shell out real money for the skins above, there will be some freebies in the form of sprays and a weapon charm.
Overwatch 2’s My Hero Academia crossover is just the latest anime crossover, with Blizzard’s FPS previously featuring skins from sci-fi anime Cowboy Bebop and One-Punch Man, another superhero anime and manga.
Currently, Overwatch 2 players can celebrate World of Warcraft’s 30th anniversary with special Warcraft-themed skins and customization options. Blizzard also recently revealed some perks for Overwatch 2 players who are currently Game Pass subscribers or sign-up prior to November 11. Those perks include score six hero skins, a 10% Battle Pass XP boost, and a one time bonus of 30 Mythic Prisms (used to upgrade Mythic skins).
