Stellar Blade announced its first DLC in the recent PlayStation State of Play, and it’s a crossover with 2017 title Nier: Automata. Stellar Blade is also finally getting a robust photo mode, and its full original soundtrack is out now on over 30 music streaming services.
The Stellar Blade x Nier: Automata trailer contrasts a shot of Eve with a shot of Nier protagonist 2B, and shows 2B looking out over Stellar Blade’s post-apocalyptic setting. The parallels between the two games are easy to see, but just what the collab DLC involves has yet to be revealed. The PlayStation Blog only promises it will be “packed with exciting new content.”
The DLC is expected to release by the end of the year, and PlayStation says that the new photo mode will be added to the game on the same day. The State of Play trailer gives a more in-depth look at the upcoming photo mode, showing off tons of potential options including posing, lighting, framing, focus, and more.
The final announcement in Stellar Blade’s State of Play feature revealed that the game’s full original soundtrack, with over 180 tracks, will be added to over 30 music streaming platforms worldwide.
The September State of Play event included a number of other major announcements, including a Ghost of Tsushima sequel featuring a new protagonist, Ghost of Yotei. Other news out of State of Play included a new Alan Wake 2 DLC, a release date for Monster Hunter Wilds, and remasters for Horizon: Zero Dawn and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.
