Apple unveiled a slew of new devices during its Glowtime livestream on Monday, September 9, including the 4th generation of AirPods wireless earbuds. The new Bluetooth earbuds come in two models: a $129 standard model and a $179 version with active noise cancellation and some other extra features.. Both versions of the AirPods 4 launch on September 20, and are available for preorder now at Amazon and Best Buy.
Along with the new AirPods 4 options, Apple also announced a new AirPods Max refresh with a USB-C port, bringing the over-ear headphones in line with the rest of Apple’s current device lineup, all of which have ditched the Lightning port and swapped to USB-C instead.
Apple also announced more than just new headphones–most notably the upcoming iPhone 16 line and the Apple Watch Series 10 models. The iPhone 16 has hardware-accelerated ray tracing, which will allow the new devices to play more AAA games.
