NBA 2K25 has only been out for a couple of days for those who preordered the game, and players have already discovered a hilarious bug that clones users’ MyPlayer so they can either team up with themselves or play against them
As the name suggests, MyPlayer is a mode in which users create an original basketball player and play out their career. Shortly after this bug was discovered, some players took to Reddit (via IGN) to show other players what had happened to them. This bug seems to be triggered when players pick a team different from the one they played during an intro sequence in MyCareer
Since this bug was discovered, some players decided to just have fun with it and post highlight clips of themselves running up and down the court, praising themselves. One Reddit user uploaded a clip titled “Great Hustle from All 3 of Me,” in which their MyPlayers went in for an alley-oop.
At the same time, some players are also voicing their frustrations about this bug. The main issue seems to be how it’s affecting their MyPlayers stats. This bug sometimes causes players to have their points cut in half when playing against a clone of themselves.
A 2K spokesperson commented on the bug and said that the team is investigating the issue, which can be seen on the official Discord’s issue tracker. But as of now, it’s unclear when the bug will be fixed. NBA 2K25 is scheduled to come out on September 6 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
