Lego Horizon Adventures, described as a “playful and light-hearted” re-telling of Sony’s Horizon: Zero Dawn franchise, will launch on November 14, according to a leak. The game showed up during the Nintendo Direct on August 27, but Nintendo only reiterated the “Holiday 2024” date and did not provide a specific date.
Gematsu reported that the PlayStation website’s homepage briefly listed a November 14 release date for Lego Horizon Adventures, though it’s since been updated to remove it. There is said to be a PlayStation State of Play event in September, and some believe Sony could announce the release date for Lego Horizon Adventures then.
Lego Horizon Adventures is co-developed by Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo, and will launch on Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. There is no word yet on an Xbox release for the game.
Lego Horizon Adventures re-tells the general story of Horizon, which follows the hero Aloy and her life in a harsh and unforgiving world full of dinosaur-like machine creatures. The game supports solo play or co-op locally and online.
Horizon is just the latest franchise to be adapted for a Lego game, following the likes of Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and Marvel.
As for the Horizon game series, no new entries have been announced, though a multiplayer title is said to be in the works. Beyond that, a live-action TV show based on the franchise was announced for Netflix but may no longer be moving ahead.
