Pokemon Sword & Shield was the first mainline Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch. Sword & Shield is set within the Galar region with new Pokemon, locales, and characters. One of the newest mechanics it brought to the franchise is Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon, massive Pokemon towering as large as skyscrapers that players could team up to fight in raids for juicy rewards.
