Capcom is putting out another classic fighting game collection, including Capcom vs. SNK 2, both Power Stone games, the Rival Schools sequel Project Justice, and Street Fighter 3 Alpha. All the games–collected as Capcom Fighting Collection 2–are playable online with rollback netcode. The compilation was announced as part of an Indie World Nintendo Direct.
The collection gathers several cult classics that have not garnered a re-release or remake since their original launch. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will be the first re-release of both Power Stones since the PSP’s Power Stone Collection. Project Justice received a PlayStation Online version, but only in Japan. Capcom vs. SNK 2 got a PlayStation Network port back in 2013, but no other re-release.

Like its predecessor, the package comes with a variety of additional features. Quality-of-life additions include EX settings, various display filters, a training mode, the ability to save mid-game, and one button special attacks. You can also check out concept/promotional art and listen to each game’s soundtrack. Online play offers leaderboards, casual matchs, ranked play, and lobbies.
Despite its name, this is actually the third Capcom fighting collection. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics focuses on Marvel Vs. Capcom titles and will release on September 12. The first collection included several Darkstalkers titles and two versions of Puzzle Fighter, among other games.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is set to release in 2025 on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
