The first Call of Duty game ever for Xbox Game Pass might drop on the subscription service later this month. A new report states Modern Warfare 3 is set to come to Game Pass sometime in July.
According to Insider Gaming, an official announcement about Modern Warfare 3 hitting Game Pass could even happen as early as today. Microsoft hasn’t brought over any of the Call of Duty catalog to Xbox Game Pass since acquiring Activision Blizzard. However, Black Ops 6 was confirmed as a day-one launch on Game Pass when it arrives October 25.
The report also states that other Activision Blizzard games are on the way for Game Pass, too. Specifically, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is mentioned for possibly being added to the service this month. Meanwhile, Windows Central tags the Crash trilogy for August while corroborating the Modern Warfare 3 info. Diablo IV was the first big Activision Blizzard game for Game Pass, joining the catalog earlier this year in March.
Xbox Game Pass just received a price increase as well as a new tier to replace the console option. Microsoft is phasing out Game Pass for Console with Game Pass Standard–which won’t include day-one releases like Black Ops 6. We have an explainer on how all the new Game Pass tiers work, and now might be a good time to stack Game Pass Ultimate before the price hikes go into effect.
