PlayStation 5 players will soon be able to join Discord voice chats straight from their consoles, meaning they will no longer have to use their Discord mobile app or PC to join voice chats.

As of right now, there’s no release date for when this feature will be released to all PS5 players. However, a PlayStation blog post states that early access to this feature will “roll out gradually over the coming weeks.”

It’s pretty straightforward. Just head over to the Game Base, scroll down to the Discord icon, and click it. After doing that, you’ll be able to see all of the Discord channels you’re part of and join whatever voice channel you have access to by clicking the Join button. You’ll also be able to use direct voice chats.

To use this feature, you must update your PS5 consoles to ensure you’re using the latest software and link your PlayStation Network with Discord. It’s also worth mentioning that this feature isn’t entirely new. Xbox users have been able to join Discord voice chats straight from their console for some time now.
