Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora The Sky Breaker DLC is coming July 16, Ubisoft revealed during its Ubisoft Forward press conference, continuing the story of the open-world shooter set in the same universe as James Cameron’s blockbuster film franchise.

Picking up after the game’s main story, the Na’vi are celebrating their victory with an Olympic-like sports festival called The Great Games. The games, however, are interrupted when a massive ship crashes into the festivities, once again forcing the Na’vi to take action to defend their home again the RDA.

The Sky Breaker DLC will take players to a new location, The Heart of the Plains. They’ll also encounter a new enemy type, the AMP Defender, a mech-suit equipped with a hue riot shield and gatling gun, as well as more well-equipped RDA lieutenants. Players will be able to take on various challenges as part of The Great Games’ festivities. The DLC will also further extend the game’s character progression, adding the ability to reach master crafter status and new Legendary rarity items alongside new ways to spend skill points.

The DLC is included as part of the game’s season pass. A second DLC, titled Secrets of the Spires, is slated to release later in 2024. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora launched in December 2023 to solid reviews.
