As part of the Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft debuted a new trailer for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and it looks pretty incredible. This trailer focused on the dual protagonists and their very-different ways to engage with the world.
The trailer opened with Naoe, running along rooftops, grappling between buildings, and taking down enemies stealth-style. Then it transitioned to Yasuke, the historical real-life samurai, showing his more-direct approach to combat with hard-hitting encounters. The two complement each other, and the trailer finished out by showing us quick successions of their moves contrasted with each other.
Originally revealed under the working title of Codename Red, Assassin’s Creed Shadows sticks to the open-world formula of previous games in the series while focusing on two key characters in its story.
Shadows releases on November 15 across console and PC. For more, check out GameSpot’s rundown of everything you need to know about Assassin’s Creed Shadows. And be sure to follow all the big announcements from the Xbox showcase.
