Davey Wreden, the creator of The Stanley Parable, has revealed his next game: Wanderstop. A dramatic shift from his previous work, Wanderstop appears to be a deconstruction of the cozy game genre.
From @IvyRoadGames, Wanderstop is a narrative-centric cozy game about change and tea. Playing as a fallen fighter named Alta, you’ll manage a tea shop and tend to the customers who pass through. Coming soon to PS5 & PC.

Revealed at Summer Game Fest 2024, Wanderstop follows a fallen fighter named Alta who leaves behind her former life to run a cozy tea shop. When not tending to her garden and foraging in the magical forest, she manages a small tea shop where she tends to customers passing through. However, not all is quite a cute and cozy as it seems.
Though Wanderstop is narrative-focused and has farming sim elements, Alta’s violent past seems to haunt her. In the game’s YouTube trailer description, the studio writes:
“Alta does not want to be here. And if she gets her way, the tea shop will be nothing but a brief and painful memory.”
Wanderstop appears to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive and is listed as “coming soon.”
