Back in 2021, Saber Interactive announced it was making a video game based on the film series A Quiet Place, and now the game has been officially unveiled. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a new atmospheric horror game from Stormind Games and Saber, and it’s set for release in 2024.
The eerie announcement trailer shows that the game follows the formula of the film series, which is that players must remain quiet to prevent the aliens from detecting them. The Road Ahead is set for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S later this year.
The Road Ahead doesn’t re-tell the story of A Quiet Place or A Quiet Place 2 (or the upcoming prequel Day One) but instead tells an original story inspired by the movie series. Players take on the role of a young survivor attempting to make their way through a very scary post-apocalyptic world.
Stormind Games previously made Batora: Lost Haven and the Remothered series. Back in the 2021 announcement, Saber said it was partnering with the developers iLLOGIKA and EP1T0ME on a game based on A Quiet Place. So it’s not immediately clear if this is that game or something else.

As for the film series, the prequel, Day One, releases in theaters later this month. After that will come A Quiet Place 3, continuing the narrative from A Quiet Place 2. The story and conceit was created by writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, and the film project gathered steam when John Krasinski–who was better known for his comedic work on The Office–came aboard to co-write and direct.
