During last year’s Gamescom, Tripwire announced that Killing Floor 3 will revive the long-dormant action and horror FPS franchise. Now, a new Killing Floor 3 gameplay trailer has revealed a look at the upgraded Zeds that are awaiting gamers. These monstrous creations are several generations ahead of the Zeds seen in Killing Floor 2. This time, the Zeds are more heavily armed and they’re also able to fight as an army instead of a mindless horde.

The trailer also reintroduces Mr. Foster and his Nightfall commandos as they attack an army depot that has been taken over by Zed forces. Mr. Foster even seems to revel in the opportunity to destroy these creatures.

Tripwire has set Killing Floor 3’s story in 2091, seven decades after Killing Floor 2. The Zeds have been nearly perfected by Megacorp Horzine, and the Nightfall team might be the only thing standing between these creatures and the rest of humanity. Fortunately for players, the Nightfall team has a few new tricks of their own including specialized weapons, the ability to climb and dash, and new environmental traps that can be laid down to devastate the Zeds.

Killing Floor 3 will be available on PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 in 2025.
