Capybara Games, the developer behind the hit puzzle game Grindstone, has revealed its upcoming title Battle Vision Network as part of the Day of the Devs showcase. Battle Vision Network is a 1v1 puzzle game, where you match up the same color of character to either attack or defend against your opponent. It has a similar cozy and cartoonish art-style to Grindstone and the matches are description as quick and fast-paced, offering five minutes of intense battling.
There are multiple different characters you can choose as the captains for your battle and there are a variety of different units to unlock and use. The battling is fairly simple, with matches of three or higher of the same color creating a unit. Vertical matches create attackers and horizontal create defenders. The game will have ongoing seasons where players can battle for different teams, one of which is crowned the champion at the end of a season. Getting a bunch of wins will also unlock plenty of customization options, giving you different looks for you captains and different emotes to taunt your opponent.
Battle Vision Network is coming to Steam and Netflix in 2025. Currently, games available via Netflix can be accessed on mobile devices, where you can download the games via the Netflix app. No other platforms were announced for Battle Vision Network, but Grindstone did eventually come to consoles after an Apple Arcade launch.
